Take a bite out of summer with this big, juicy watermelon slice. The triangular wedge has a thick rind, neat rows of seeds, a couple of fresh drips, a little leaf at the corner, and a cute smiling face on the front. The shape is large and bold, so younger kids can easily fill the pink flesh and green rind, while the rows of seeds give older colorers small details to dot in carefully. Watermelon is mostly water — about nine-tenths of it — which is exactly why one cool slice tastes so refreshing on a hot summer day. Color the inside a juicy pink or red, the thick rind in two greens (a pale strip beside a darker outer ring), and either leave the little seeds white or darken them in. Print on US Letter or A4 and enjoy a slice of sunshine.

Coloring Tips

Two-tone rind — use a pale green inner strip and a darker green outer edge so the rind looks real.
