Birthday Slice and Treats

Everybody wants the first slice, and here it is: a generous piece of layered birthday cake on a plate, showing the cream filling between the layers and a cherry perched on top. Layered cakes get their look from spreading cream or jam between baked sponge layers, then stacking them tall.
