Stegosaurus in the Sun
A happy Stegosaurus with a double row of back plates and a spiked tail, walking under a sunny sky — a fun dinosaur coloring page.
The Stegosaurus is easy to spot thanks to the double row of large, diamond-shaped plates running along its arched back and the four sharp spikes on the end of its tail. This page shows it strolling happily across the grass with a small head held low and a round sun and clouds above. The big plates are perfect for a rainbow of colors or a neat repeating pattern, and the open body suits younger colorers. Stegosaurus was a gentle plant-eater, and its tail spikes — nicknamed the "thagomizer" — were its main defense. Coloring the plates one by one is a calm, satisfying activity, and the sunny background gives little ones extra areas to fill. Print on A4 or US Letter and let every plate be a different shade if you like.
Coloring Tips
- Make the plates pop — color each back plate a different color for a bright, eye-catching page.
- Warm up the sky — a yellow sun and soft blue sky frame the dinosaur nicely.
- Mind the spikes — save the tail spikes for last so they stay crisp.
